Master of Social Work Applied, Bachelor of Arts
Fiona has a Master of Social Work Applied and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Psychology and Education. She is a Registered Social Worker and a full member of the New Zealand Social Work Association (ANZASW).
Fiona has previously worked as a Care and Protection Social Worker for Oranga Tamariki, Ministry for Children, as a Community Support Professional for Richmond Fellowship and as Co-ordinator and Social Worker for the Developmental Assessment Programme at the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board. Since 2006 she has worked for Open Home Foundation as a Regional Practice Manager and now as the National Clinical Advisor, Disability and High Needs Services based in Wellington. She has 20+ years’ experience working with children, youth and families in the care and protection, mental health and disabilities fields of social work.
Fiona is passionate about supporting families to provide the best care they can for their children and young people. She has been on the CFO Board since late 2014.
