Bonnie began her social work career with the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) now Oranga Tamariki, Ministry for Children, gaining over 15 years' experience in various roles specific to child protection and youth justice, community education and special projects.
​
In 2005 she joined the health sector at Starship Hospital with Te Puaruruhau as a child protection social worker.
​
In 2007 having moved back to Wellington she took up her current role as Child Protection Coordinator for Capital Coast District Health Board.
​
Bonnie has a passion for making a difference for children and their families.
​
Bonnie has comprehensive practical experience of the law and legal requirements pertaining to care and protection and youth justice work.
